The then current site was very old and did not spotlight the very rich brand story. The site was information rich, but we had to modernise it and convey a more contemporary identity. The client also required easy online shopping without investing in a full e-commerce set-up.
After chatting to the brand-owners visiting the winery we came away inspired. Theirs is a wonderful story of family heritage going back to the 17th century that was hidden between the lines on the old site.
We set out to tell the brand story visually and make it an integrated part of the website experience. WordPress was the obvious choice of platform to meet the client’s need for a responsive site that is easy to navigate on any platform. The site is conveniently self-updatable and easy to use from both viewer and client perspectives. Social media and blog navigation is easy to find and use. The look is light and stylish, using only three main colours, white, red and charcoal. With mostly just the wine bottles in full colour, they are emphasised to become a main feature on the site.
