Inspired by 67 minutes of service

Volunteering to help out a local animal rescue operation on Mandela Day 2014 brought inspiration from an unexpected source for the YehBaby Digital Creatives team.

When we drove up a bumpy mud road towards an informal settlement outside Paarl to give 67 minutes of our time in honour of Madiba, the last thing we were expecting was to meet a fellow entrepreneur with a story that has brought him to the attention of national media outlets.

Celebrating our favourite on #ChardDay

Ronelle Louwrens, YehBaby CEO, writes:

Chardonnay has always been my favourite cultivar without a doubt. I have never given it much thought, it simply was my favourite.
(More recently, two other contenders for the title have arrived on the scene: White Pinotage and Viognier. But Chardonnay still holds firm in that 1st place.)
Thinking about it on this #ChardDay , I didn’t have to ponder the question for too long. What could be more satisfying than the buttery aromas, toasty oak, butterscotch and citrus flavours you get from this cultivar? It is tasty, it is sensual and it is satisfying. A great wine on its own and even better with food. Not to mention the variety of flavours from different producers.
What are my favourites?
Weltevrede Place of Rock Chardonnay; Weltevrede Vanilla Chardonnay; Christina Van Loveren Chardonnay; Tangled Tree Butterscotch Chardonnay; De Wetshof Lime Stone Hill; KWV Mentors Chardonnay; Mellasat Wines’ 2012 Chardonnay; Landskroon Chardonnay; Bonnievale Wines Chardonnay
I’d love to know what your faves are!

Being open-minded

Practice open-mindedness by thinking out of the box, or challenging your mind to  new and innovative ideas. This will keep your mind stimulated and open a world of new opportunities for you. This can enable you to reach those dreaded goals you’ve been putting off since New Year’s.

Do something!

Among our fathers, brothers, neighbours, political representatives, colleagues, employees, friends and connections there are men and boys who see women and children as lesser beings. Who think that they are entitled to do absolutely anything to women and children, just because they feel like it.

How can we live peacefully with that knowledge?

Do something!

Silence is complicity for South Africans faced by a crisis of violence against women and children.
