KKNK is one of the biggest arts festival in South Africa. Now in its 22nd year, the event draws more than 100 000 people from across South Africa. It turns the small Klein Karoo town of Oudtshoorn into a hive of artistic excitement for two weeks every year. The focus of the festival is developing and showcasing dramatic works and music developed in the Afrikaans language, but people also come just to have fun!

Van Loveren Family Vineyards was the main wine sponsor at KKNK 2016 and wanted to showcase that at the festival. YB created a range of memorable posters to highlight the winery’s extensive brand portfolio. We mixed up stereotypes in a humorous and slightly confronting way to make a strong statement that people are unique and cannot be labeled, especially at an arts festival.
